Two methods can be followed for fattening buffalo-

Intensive Rearing:

In this system buffaloes should be kept in the house for all the time and supply both categories of feed roughage (fresh grass/silage) and concentrate there

Half of the calculated amount required amount of roughage (fresh grass/silage/UMS) and concentrate according to meal calculator of the apps should be provided in the morning and remaining should be in the afternoon.

According to body weight To deliver half of the granular food obtained through the app's "Mill" calculator in the morning and half in the afternoon.

Adequate clean water supply should be ensured in buffalo’s house for all the time of day

Buffaloes should be thoroughly bathed at least twice a day (3 times if needed incase of more heat).

In this rearing system it would better to supply concentrate at 30-35% level

Semi-intensive Rearing:

During this management system, buffalo should be grazed at least 6-7 hours in pasture land in the morning and in the afternoon (where sufficient grass is available).

Half of the calculated amount required amount of concentrate according to meal calculator of apps should be provided in the morning and remaining should be in the afternoon.

Adequate clean water supply should be ensured in buffalo’s house for all the time of day

Buffaloes should be thoroughly bathed at least twice a day

In this rearing system it would better to calculate the feed requirement keeping concentrate at 40% level

ExampleIn simple term, if an animal require 30 kg roughage and 3 kg concentrate per day then 15 kg roughage and 1.5 kg concentrate should be provided in the morning and rest in the afternoon.
