Red, yellowish red or reddish eye brows, muzzle, hooves. tail head and horn
Reddish coat colour
Daily milk yield 4-6 litre
Lactation period 230-240 days (8 months)
Give first calf between 2.5-3 years of age. Sometimes, it occurs at 1.5 years of age
Give calf birth at every year next
Average birth weight of calf is 15 kg.
Pabna Cows:
Black eye brows, muzzle, hooves. tail head and horn
Black paint will be on neck, dewlap, and leg and red or grey red coat colour
Daily milk yield 4-8 litre (maximum-12L)
Lactation period 240-260 days (9 months)
Give first calf between 3.5-4 years of age
Give next calves at the interval of 14-15 months
Average calf birth weight is 18-20 kg
Munshigonj Cows:
Eyebrows or around the eyebrows, hooves, tail hair and horn will be white or slight red
Coat colour will be white but some part of body may be diyed with different colour, locally called “Kajla
Daily milk yield 4-6 litre (maximum 12L)
Lactation period 240-260 days (9 months)
Give first calf between 3.5-4 years of age
Give next calves at the interval of 14-15 months
Average calf birth weight is 15 kg
North Bengal Grey Cows:
Black eye brows, muzzle, hooves. tail head and horn
Black colour around the spine and hump and neck appeared to be black with the advancement of age
Coat colour ranges from gray to dark gray or light gray to white
Daily milk yield 2-3 litre (maximum 5-6L)
Lactation period 240-260 days (9 months)
Give first calf between 3.5-4 years of age
Give next calves at the interval of 14-15 months
Average calf birth weight is 15 kg
