Hilly Bird-
Hilly variety chicken weighs 600-720 gm body weight in 8 weeks or 2 months of age (increase weight 10-12 grams per day). Demand for this weight chickens is very high in the market and each chicken can be sold for more than 300 taka.
During this period one bird consume on an average 1.5-1.7 kg feed (daily 25-28 gm feed) whose current market value is 50-60 taka
That is for rearing100 birds, you have to prepare total 150-184 kg feed for two months at the rate of 75-84 kg feed per month
For Layer Birds-
Nacked neck birds and Common Deshi chiken lays 170-180 and 150-160 number of eggs per year respectively
During this period each bird consume 38-40 kg feed (75-80gm/day). Total feed cost will be 1150-1250 taka considering per kg feed cost is 30-33 taka
For 72 weeks rearing of 100 birds, you will need to provide 3800-4000 kg feed
